Series 6.7 Devlog: A Full Breakdown Of Every Change
Series 6.7 is the biggest switchup we've made to No Hesi in a long time. Not "a couple of tweaks". It's a complete rethink of how runs work, how the UI feels, and how you compete with each other.
We interviewed one of our devs, Nex, to walk through all of it, but I wanted to put the full breakdown in writing so you can actually reference it before launch instead of pausing the video every ten seconds.
Here's everything thats changing.

The UI got a full rebuild
First thing you're gonna notice is that the screen looks different. The personal best box in the top left is GONE as a separate element. It is now folded into the center points box.
And that center box is now dynamic. When you're cruising it just shows your progress and personal best. The second you start a run, it expands into the full points box you already know. The aggro multiplier, FPV bonus, and realistic bonus bars at the bottom of the screen are gone too, all of that lives inside the points box now and pops out when it is relevant.
The whole point was to clear space and reduce the clutter, so we can keep adding new stuff without your screen turning into a cockpit dashboard.
Server leaderboards are new
This is the feature I'm most hyped about. You now get a per-server personal best in the top left. So if you're in a server with friends, you can target THEIR best without ever touching the global leaderboard.
No more "I am 110,000th in the world" killing the vibe. When you leave the server, your server points reset to zero. So every time you join back you get a clean slate to beat. It's basically a built in rivalry system for whoever you're running with.
Proximity is automatic now
No more inviting people into runs. None of that. You drive up to ANY player in the server and you start gaining a proximity bonus instantly. Friends, randoms, doesn't matter.
We did this because we want servers to actually feel alive. We want people pulling together into runs naturally instead of fumbling through a menu. Down at the bottom of the screen you will see boxes showing who you are in proximity with and how many points they are getting.
You can't get griefed out of your run anymore
Big one. Now that anyone can roll up to anyone, we had to fix the obvious problem: some random crashing your run.
Two things solve it. First, turn on PASSIVE MODE in public servers. You still get the bonus, but people cannot crash into you. Second, and this is the real fix, lives are now fully individual. If someone in your proximity run crashes, THEY lose the life. Not you. You keep your multiplier and you keep going. Their mistake is their problem, not yours.
The anti-cheese shoulder system
We finally killed boosting. Fr this time.
The old exploit was sitting on the shoulder and feeding mult to someone just by driving next to them, basically carrying a player who was not really playing. F that. If you're on the shoulder for more than THREE SECONDS, you stop giving multiplier to anyone around you. When you get back into real gameplay, there is a three second cooldown before your multiplier comes back online.
If you are actually driving, you will never notice this. If you're cheesing, it's over.
Leaderboard scores are solo again
Averaging is GONE. Submissions are individual now, exactly like Series 3 and 4. You run with people, you vibe, you push, but your score is YOURS. No more doing math in your head about how averaging works. Just drive with people around you, gain the multiplier, and post your own number.
Three minute runs
This one's gonna be controversial and I know it. We're changing to a three minute timer.
Here's why. We looked at the data... and the first three minutes are when people usually push the hardest and crash the least. A 15 or 25 minute run asks you to hold perfect focus forever, and that's exhausting.
Three minutes makes runs fast, intense, and high stakes. We want the leaderboard MOVING. We want constant competition instead of a board that nobody can touch. Short runs do that.
Real talk: why we made the call on the three minute timer
I wanna be straight with you about this one, because I know it's the change that'll start arguments.
When you've run a game for as long as we have, you learn that the loudest feedback and the most common behavior are almost never the same thing. People will tell you they want 25 minute runs. Then we look at what actually happens in those runs, and the points, the intensity, the moments people clip and share, all of it lives in the first few minutes. The back half of a long run is mostly people holding their breath trying not to throw away the score they already earned.
So we had a choice. Keep the long timer because it is familiar and nobody complains about familiar. Or make the call we think is actually right for the game and take the criticism that comes with change.
Here's our honest reasoning. A leaderboard nobody can move is a dead leaderboard. When the top times are locked in by people who can grind 25 minutes flawlessly, everyone else stops trying, and the board stops being a competition and starts being a monument. Three minute runs reset that. They make the board MOVABLE. They make a random Tuesday session feel like it matters. They lower the wall for a newer player to take one real shot at a great time instead of needing a half hour of perfect concentration to even compete.
We're making the entry point feel like Series 3 again, the version of this game that pulled the most people in and made them stay. Fast, arcade, alive.
We made these decisions with the data in front of us and four years of watching how this community actually plays and evolves.
Give it an actual try when it releases. Play it the way it is meant to be played, fast and aggressive, and then tell us how it FELT in the Discord. We'll read all of it.
No more realistic physics bonus
Tied right into the timer change. We want No Hesi to feel like that sim-arcade game you fell in love with. Series 3 energy. Spec and Tuned cars are going to be the dominant pick now, and paired with three minute runs that should make everything feel faster and more accessible.
When does it drop?
It's in the hands of the testers right now. They are checking map balance, making sure competitiveness is tight across every map, hunting UI bugs, and putting that new shoulder system through its paces. We're not shipping you something half assed. The second it's ready, we'll announce it.
